What we do with the left-over malt after Whisky Production?

Updated: Apr 27

After the mashing, boiling, and fermentation process, the left-over malt is filtered to separate the liquid and solid components. The solid malt is collected and transferred into bags or tanks for local pig and chicken farmers. We have built an eco-friendly system in the Bunnyville neighborhood where farmers eagerly collect our spent malt whenever it's available. We use on-grain fermentation techniques to enhance our whisky's flavor, which means the leftover malt contains some residual alcoholic beer. Let us know what you think happens to these pigs and chickens after they eat this malt!

We've built a sustainable ecosystem here in Bunnyville Distillery neighborhood, where farmers eagerly collect our left-over malt after whisky production. But here's something interesting: because we use on-grain fermentation to enhance the flavor of our whisky, the leftover malt still contains traces of alcoholic beer.

Now, we've got to ask—what do you think happens to these pigs and chickens after they eat our malt? Let us know your thoughts!
